Seth Godin wrote a great post today that working moms can really take to heart. You know all about the angst we feel about not being everything to everybody – and oh.my.god.the.guilt when we drop the ball?
Well, as Seth Godin says, You Rock. But you don’t rock every minute of every day. No one does. Trying to rock all the time (or trying to be the most impressive mother ever) is impossible. And exhausting. But those snippets throughout the day when you do get it right, when you’re there with your kids and connecting – that’s the part that really matters.
Cool stuff.
I had read the original post on Seth’s blog and I really like the way you’re making the connection from it to working Moms. It’s so easy for a working Mom to be hard on herself for the non-rocking moments even though nobody rocks 24/7. Nice post (also liked your question about your husband being a working Father).

SO relevant to working moms! What other job on the PLANET requires you to be playing your A-Game at 2pm as well as 2am and every hour in between?! Moms are so hard on themselves, but you’ve got the right idea— focus on those things you ARE doing well, and try not to obsess over the balls that got dropped (easier said than done!)
